Candle Colour Dye Pastilles
Couldn't load pickup availability
Our candle colour dye comes in pastille form and is a colouring agent for container candles, pillar candles, and wax melts. These high quality pastilles are superior to dye blocks and dye chips and will produce a strong, vibrant colour. They provide good burning behaviour and colour stability. Each colour pastille contains the same colour content, allowing you to create the same shade every time.
Please note that based on customer feedback indicating that our pink dye does not accurately represent a true pink, we have decided to rename the colour "magenta" to better reflect its purplish-red hue. Please note that the colour produced remains unchanged and is consistent with the photograph provided.
Instructions
Add pastille to liquefied wax when temperature is at 80°C to 85°C. Do not overheat, as spots can form. Stir for approximately 2 minutes until the colour has completely dissolved and incorporated into the wax. Add fragrance if desired and pour at recommended pouring temperature.
For pastel colours, use 1 pastille per 150g - 170g of wax. Due to pink being a stronger colour, 1 pastille per 300g of wax is recommended for a pastel colour. Coral pastilles can also make red if enough is used.
Photos have been provided for representation only. The numbers indicate how many pastilles were used to make each colour shade. Pictured candles are made with 170g of unscented soy pillar wax. The type of wax and fragrance oil will affect the outcome of the colour. You can darken or lighten individual colours by using more or less wax per pastille. Please conduct your own testing for accurate colour representation.
WARNING
- These dyes are only to be used for candle making. Do not use for bath bombs or soaps.
- Always store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Store below 30°C.
- Avoid crushing pastilles, as they will stain.
Please refer to SDS before use.

How To Use
Acrylic PVC Candle Moulds:
To use this candle mould, simply start by threading the wick through the center of the mould and securing it in place with a wick holder. Use blu tack to cover the wick hole to prevent leakage before pouring melted wax into the mould. Depending on the type of wax you are using, you may need to perform a second pour to even out the surface of the candle. Allow your candle to cure overnight before carefully unmoulding it. If the candle gets stuck, squeeze around the mould to release the candle from the sides.
Silicone Candle Moulds:
To use our candle moulds, simply start by threading the wick through the center of the mould and securing it in place with a wick holder. Then, pour in your melted wax and let it cool until it hardens. Depending on the type of wax you are using, you may need to perform a second pour to even out the surface of the candle. Allow your candle to cure overnight before carefully unmoulding it.
Concrete Trays & Vessels:
To make the most of your vessel mould, follow these steps:
- Preparation: Begin by gathering your selected material and ensure it's mixed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Pouring: Carefully fill the mould with your chosen material, ensuring it reaches the top.
- Air Bubble Removal: For a smoother finish, gently tap the mould on a sturdy surface to encourage any trapped air bubbles to rise to the surface.
- Curing: Adhere to the recommended curing time for your chosen material.
- Demoulding: Once the material has set and cured, carefully flex and remove the mould to unveil your creation.
- If your tray or vessel will be used for candles, it is vital to seal it with a heat-resistant sealer. Apply at least two coats to both the interior and exterior of the vessel. Ensure the sealant is fully dry before pouring in the wax.
