This design is now handcrafted to order in our studio from high-quality platinum-cure silicone, making it the perfect tool to help you create beautiful candles, soaps, resin art, concrete pieces, and more. Platinum-cure silicone is known for its durability and tear-resistance. It can withstand high temperatures up to 230°C, but it is not recommended to expose them to excessive heat for long periods of time. In comparison to regular silicone moulds, moulds made with platinum-cure silicone are more long-lasting and has a shelf life of more than 30 years.

These moulds are durable, easy to use, and suitable for use with a variety of waxes including soy wax, beeswax, and paraffin. They are flexible, heat resistant, and easy to clean, making them a practical choice for both beginners and experienced candle makers. Whether you're a candle making novice or an expert, these silicone moulds are a must-have for anyone looking to make their own candles.

How to Use Our Candle Moulds

Using our candle moulds is simple and beginner-friendly. Start by threading your wick through the centre of the mould and securing it with a wick holder. Next, place the mould into the custom 3D printed support case and use bulldog clips to hold it tightly together and keep it stable during pouring. Pour your melted wax into the mould and allow it to cool completely. Depending on the type of wax, a second pour may be needed to smooth out the candle surface. Once cooled, let your candle cure overnight before carefully unmoulding for best results.

To ensure optimal results, each mould includes a custom-fitted 3D printed support case. Due to their flexible nature, moulds can naturally expand when filled. The included case helps maintain the mould’s shape during pouring and curing, resulting in a more consistent and professional finish. These support cases are made from PLA plastic and may warp if exposed to heat—so please avoid using a heat gun directly on them or placing them near high heat sources. Additional support cases can also be purchased separately for an extra cost.

These silicone moulds are handmade to order. Please allow up to 5 business days to craft your mould.

How To Use

Silicone Candle Moulds:

Thread the wick through the centre of the mould and secure it in place with a wick holder. For best results, gently warm the inside of the mould with a heat gun before pouring, especially for designs with fine details, lettering, deep textures, or narrow areas. This helps the wax flow into small details more evenly and can reduce trapped air bubbles and visible pour lines.

Pour in your melted wax and allow it to cool and fully set before carefully unmoulding. Depending on the wax used, a second pour may be required to level the base. Always keep the heat gun moving and avoid overheating the silicone.

Acrylic PVC Candle Moulds:

Thread the wick through the wick hole and secure it with a wick holder. Seal the hole with Blu Tack to prevent leaking, then pour in your melted wax. A second pour may be needed depending on the wax used. Allow the candle to set fully before unmoulding. If needed, gently squeeze the sides of the mould to help release the candle.

Concrete Trays & Vessels:

Mix your chosen casting material according to the manufacturer’s instructions, then pour it into the mould. Gently tap the mould to help release trapped air bubbles and allow the piece to cure fully before demoulding.

If using the finished vessel for candles, apply at least two coats of a suitable heat-resistant sealer to the inside and outside. Allow the sealer to dry and cure completely before adding wax.

Mould Performance & Storage

Our silicone moulds are handcrafted from premium platinum-cure silicone, chosen for its durability, flexibility, tear resistance, and long lifespan. While the silicone can withstand high temperatures, prolonged exposure to excessive heat should be avoided.

Mould life will vary depending on the material used and frequency of casting. Abrasive materials such as concrete may gradually wear down fine details, while non-abrasive materials such as wax are much gentler on the mould. Avoid overstretching and do not use sharp tools or fingernails when demoulding.

Before storing, wash the mould with a mild soap solution and allow it to dry completely. Two-part moulds should be reassembled and stored flat in a cool, dry place to help maintain their shape.

Please note: Each mould is poured and trimmed by hand, so minor exterior imperfections may occur.
